Scaffold Access to Facilitate Roofing Works
This domestic scaffold project within central Edinburgh required approximately 500m2 of scaffold to be erected to the front and rear elevations of the building. This allowed Apex Roofing Contracts to carry out a full roof overhaul.
AMF were chosen to work with Apex as a trusted safe supplier of scaffolding services. Apex Roofing Contracts are an Edinburgh-based roofing contractor specializing in all aspects of roof works including traditional slating & tiling, flat roofing, felt roofs, garages, dormers, and carry out detailed work such as all lead and zinc work.
After an investigation by Apex, it was determined that further work was required on the rear side chimney. So a re-visit was required to add a wrap round scaffold to the chimney breast to allow the team access to fix it safely.
The initial 500m2 of scaffold was completed by the AMF operations team in only two days. Providing the roofers one boarded lift of access at gutter height. The scaffolding is due to be up for a period of 4-6 weeks. With weekly checks being carried out continually through this project by the AMF team.
